Coupled Mode Theory and Wireless Energy Transfer
Efficient wireless energy transfer between two inductor-capacitor circuits has been demonstrated by applying the principles of Coupled Mode Theory to create a system of strongly-coupled, resonating magnetic fields. This paper makes a detailed analyzes how Coupled Mode Theory is used to increase energy transfer between two simple inductor-capacitor circuits.

متن کاملElectron transfer theory and its inception.
It is a pleasure to introduce this issue on electron transfer processes. The field has developed greatly and in many different directions not envisioned in the late 1940s. The modern electron transfer era began at that time in the form of studies on the simplest class of reactions in all of chemistry, isotopic exchange reactions of the electron transfer type. In their simplest form no chemical ...
متن کاملPyrene based D-π-A architectures: synthesis, density functional theory, photophysics and electron transfer dynamics.
Pyrene derivatives show immense potential as sensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSCs). Therefore, this work focuses on the impact of π-spacers on the photophysical, electrochemical and photovoltaic properties of pyrene based D-π-A dyes, since the insertion of π-spacers is one of the doable strategies to improve the light harvesting properties of the dye. In this respect, three new pyre...
متن کاملExcited States and Electron Transfer in Solution: Models Based on Density Functional Theory
Our understanding of organic materials for solar energy conversion stands to benefit greatly from accurate, computationally tractable electronic structure methods for excited states. Here we apply two approaches based on density functional theory (DFT) to predict excitation energies and electron transfer parameters in organic chromophores and semiconductors in solution. First, we apply constrai...
